Redimensiona a janela do GIMP 2.8 no Ubuntu 13.10

Question

Eu tive que usar o GIMP pela primeira vez no Ubuntu 13.10 há alguns dias e sua janela parece bem estranha. Ocupa uma área de trabalho completa e um terço da área de trabalho abaixo:

Mas não pode ser maximizado (observe o botão ausente) nem pode ser redimensionado. Como posso ajustar a janela do GIMP para que ocupe apenas uma área de trabalho? Obrigado.

Eu sugiro que você tente reinstalar o Gimp usando os seguintes comandos no terminal:

1. Desinstale o Gimp:

   sudo apt-get purge gimp*
   

2. Apague o diretório ~/.gimp-2.8 (você pode fazer um backup primeiro) que pode conter outros arquivos de configuração do Gimp.

3. Instale o Gimp novamente:

   sudo apt-get install gimp
   

Essas imagens da sua pergunta não parecem com o Gimp após uma instalação limpa.
