nodejs npm erro de instalação

Estou fazendo isso com privilégios de root. Mas ainda estou recebendo erro de acesso negado.

Resolveu. Ajudado pelo StackOverflow. Usou o seguinte comando.

curl http://npmjs.org/install.sh | sudo sh

Meu comando anterior

sudo curl http://npmjs.org/install.sh | sh

estava buscando o URL com privilégios de root. Eu deveria fazer sh com privilégios de root.

Adicionando o Repo de Chris Lea

Usando o repositório do Launchpad por Chris Lea, apenas execute os seguintes comandos

apt-get install python-software-properties
apt-add-repository ppa:chris-lea/node.js
apt-get update

node.js install

apt-get install nodejs

Verifique a versão node.js

node -v

Saídas

v0.10.20

npm install

O comando acima deve instalar o npm.

Verifique a versão npm

npm -v

Saídas

1.4.3

Se por algum motivo, se você vir o npm não estiver instalado, tente executar:

apt-get install npm

Eu resolvi isso usando:

curl -L http://npmjs.org/install.sh | sudo sh

Quando usei sem -L , o comando não funciona.
