Não é possível conectar-se às placas wireless Qualcomm Athereos QCA6174 ou Wilocity Wil6200

Eu tenho o Ubuntu 16.4 na Asus Zenith. Dois adaptadores sem fio não funcionam desde o dia 1. Eu tenho:

Qualcomm Athereos QCA6174 801.11ac

Wilocity Wil6200 802.11ad

Ajuda e sugestões apreciadas. Eu ainda estou na curva de aprendizado. Eu estou usando um adaptador com fio atualmente, o computador fica ao lado do roteador. Um adaptador usb tipo mini-dongle funciona, mas não tem alcance para conectar-se a até 15 pés (3m) de distância :( Joe

Pode ser que você precise do kernel 4.15+ do Ubuntu 18.04, que pode ser encontrado aqui:

Embora você também precise de um firmware QCA6174 atualizado que esteja no Ubuntu 18.04, talvez seja necessário fazer upgrade de qualquer maneira.
