Como configurar uma tela de plasma de 50 polegadas da Panasonic com xorg.conf

Eu tenho o Ubuntu (16.04 LTS) instalado em um Gigabyte Brix (GB-BACE-3150). Ele é conectado a uma TV de Plasma Panasonic de 50 polegadas (TH-50PX600A) via HDMI. A imagem na tela é maior que a tela em todos os lados, cortando as bordas. As informações do sistema para a tela informam que ele é uma TV Panasonic de 65 polegadas em vez de uma de 50 polegadas. Observo que o EDID da TV não especifica o tamanho da exibição. Portanto, parece padrão para 65 polegadas.

Eu pensei que se eu especificasse o tamanho correto da tela através de um arquivo xorg.conf, a tela seria reduzida para caber na tela, mas este não é o caso, a imagem da tela ainda é maior do que a tela.

A TV não possui um ajuste de proporção que permite que a imagem seja ajustada para caber.

Eu revi o arquivo de log do xorg e parece que ele está carregando o meu xorg.conf corretamente. Meu xorg.conf e o arquivo de log são os seguintes.

Qualquer conselho sobre como colocar a imagem no tamanho da tela da TV seria muito apreciado.
