Meu problema é que não consigo me conectar à Internet através da minha conexão ethernet. Quando executo wget http://google.com
, recebo o erro ...failed: Name or service not known.
Chrome e o Firefox não pode carregar nenhum site citando problemas de conexão.
A ethernet funciona bem quando eu conecto outros computadores. É essa máquina específica que não está funcionando.

É claramente um problema de pesquisa de DNS.
Eu encontrei o endereço IP do google.com em outra máquina.
ping -c3 172.217.11.142
trabalha com pings por volta de 40 ms.
Quando executo nslookup google.com
, recebo ;; connection timed ou; no servers could be reached
Eu tentei a solução aqui e aqui usando DHCP e static para nenhum benefício.

Eu atualizei de 16.04 para 17.10 na noite passada. Mesmo antes da reinicialização, a ethernet parou de funcionar. Quando vou ao Network Manager e clico em "Auto ethernet", vejo uma imagem como esta aparecer:

Eu pesquisei muitos posts relacionados, mas nenhuma das soluções funcionou para mim.
