EDIT 2: Aparentemente, o problema não é mais depois que eu reinstalei o Ubuntu 16.04 LTS com o ISO oficial. A versão do kernel agora é 4.13.0-32-generic. Não tenho certeza do que causou isso. Talvez eu não devesse ter atualizado o kernel. Talvez seja algo relacionado à distribuição Dell do Ubuntu. Talvez seja a minha instalação dualboot com o Windows. De qualquer forma, parece estar resolvido por enquanto.
Acabei de comprar o Dell XPS 13 9370 Developer Edition. Depois de executar dist-upgrade , o processo de inicialização tornou-se inacreditavelmente lento, levando até 100 segundos. Inserindo a saída de dmesg , suspeito que a placa Killer Wifi possa estar causando problemas. Os seguintes são os resultados relevantes:

Especificamente, a linha ath10k_pci 0000:02:00.0: could not fetch firmware file 'ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/firmware-5.bin': -2 parece problemática, mas não tenho certeza de como corrigi-la.
Eu tentei ambas as versões do kernel 94 e 112 sem sucesso. Infelizmente eu depurei o kernel original, então não posso testá-lo novamente com o kernel original.
Existe alguma solução para o problema de firmware com esta placa wireless? Ou existe alguma maneira de recuperar a versão original do kernel, instalá-la e tentar resolver o problema?
