Eu tenho um laptop antigo Acer TM 5720. Mas ainda funciona :) Quando eu estou usando o Ubuntu 16.04 com o GNOME (com o kernel 4.4.0-104), tudo funciona perfeitamente, exceto WiFi, mas o tempo de inicialização é muito rápido. Eu queria experimentar o Ubuntu 17.10, onde meu WiFi funciona muito bem, mas o tempo de inicialização é terrível, há alguns congelamentos, como alguns esperando por um dispositivo. E sempre que tento entrar nas configurações do sistema, tenho cerca de 20 segundos de congelamento. O mesmo aconteceu no Ubuntu 17.04. Quando atualizei o kernel no Ubuntu 16.04, tive os mesmos problemas (mas o WiFi funciona melhor). Alguém pode me ajudar a se livrar desses problemas? Por que esses atrasos / congelamentos em novos kernels?
Tenho Dongle sem fio USB TL-WN725N da Nano com chipset Realtek 8188EU. A questão é que a intensidade do sinal WiFi é realmente fraca (pelo menos no ícone de indicação WiFi na barra de status). Às vezes, após o início, o sistema não vê o dongle. Mas como eu disse, funciona bem com o kernel mais novo, por exemplo. 4,10.
