mas parece que não conseguem fazer ping no servidor (talvez eles não respondam a pings?):

Eu uso ssh regularmente, então não posso imaginar que tenho um problema de rede - mas talvez. Isso exige netcat et al, ou pode haver algum erro de uso mais simples da minha parte?
Instalado como um pacote instantâneo .
pelo que vale, ssh para o github funciona bem:
