phone se conecta a wifi hotspot (Ubuntu 17.10) mas não consigo navegar

Estou recebendo um erro ao iniciar o ponto de acesso Wi-Fi:

Ativar o ponto de acesso Wi-Fi? Não é possível acessar a internet através do seu wireless enquanto o hotspot estiver ativo. Os pontos de acesso Wi-Fi costumam ser usados para compartilhar uma conexão de internet adicional via Wi-Fi.

Preciso adicionar switchports, bruiges ou rotas para conectá-lo à Inernet? Eu posso ver o ponto de acesso no meu telefone, mas não me conectar a ele.

Eu desisti de tentar fazer com que o wifi interno do meu sistema funcionasse e consegui uma LAN externa TP-LINK TL-WR902AC para o roteador wifi.

Não tendo muita experiência configurando wifi com IP's estáticos / fixos aprendi que o IP wifi da transmissão (o do roteador) precisava combinar com o IP dos telefones!

Agora, posso conectar o telefone via Wi-Fi à Internet.
