Como diz o título, meu Xubuntu 17.10 irá produzir vídeo e áudio através de HDMI, desde que eu conecte diretamente minha tela, mas nunca percebo que um cabo foi conectado quando eu tento com meu receptor.
O Windows 7 HDMI - > receptor - > A configuração da TV funciona em outro laptop.
A configuração com o Xubuntu HDMI - > receptor - > A TV não percebe que algo está conectado.
Alterar os perfis sonoros no pulseaudio não faz nada (todos desconectados).
O que está acontecendo? Não tenho certeza de qual saída dar que poderia ser útil:)

Informações de hardware e software:
O meu receptor é um AVR160 da Harman Kardon (aparece como AVR160 / 1600 com o meu portátil Windows ligado). Eu encontrei uma atualização de firmware em seu site, mas sua versão mais recente já estava no meu receptor.
Meu notebook é um novo Acer Aspire ES11: ES1-132-C2JZ. Tanto quanto eu posso dizer, a placa de vídeo deve ser um Intel 520. O driver de gráficos é o driver i915 (hda) da Intel, mas eu tentei usar o driver padrão do Xubuntu que não mudou nada. Aplay -l lista a placa de áudio como "PCH [HDA Intel PCH, dispositivo 0: ALC255 Analog" e imprime um grupo de "PCH [HDA Intel PCH, dispositivo x: HDMI y [HDMI y]". Que eu estou supondo são perfis de som HDMI e não cartões reais (?).
Não tenho certeza se é relevante, mas a TV do outro lado do receptor é uma TV antiga (2009) preparada para HD: LG 42PQ2000. Eu tentei sem a TV conectada e de qualquer forma, essa configuração funciona do meu laptop Windows.
