Eu recentemente instalei o Ubuntu 17.10 do disco. Eu já tinha 17.04. Ao usar 17.04 minha webcam Logitech HD C615 funcionou bem fora da caixa. Eu não fiz nada para configurá-lo. Em 17.10, estou tendo problemas.
Eu estou no grupo de vídeos. /dev/video0 existe. lsusb mostra a webcam conectada. O Chrome mostra até mesmo "webcam HD C615" depois de pedir permissão para usá-lo quando for ao Google Hangouts, por exemplo.
No entanto, a câmera é reportada como tendo um erro. O mesmo com queijo e avconv. Apenas uma mensagem simples dizendo que o dispositivo não é reconhecido ou algo assim.
