Meu sistema 17.10 (e anterior 17.04) falha em pontos de tempo aleatórios (geralmente a cada 1-2 horas). Isso só ocorre quando eu trabalho, ou seja, se o sistema estiver ocioso, eu nunca o notei. Eu olhei para o /var/log/kern.log e não há nada óbvio lá, mas há uma seção estranha que eu suspeito que seja parte do problema:

Alguma idéia do que é isso e por onde começar? O sistema não responde a nenhum dos comandos de teclado para o tratamento de falhas . Existe alguma variabilidade nas quedas, 50% das quedas não consigo mover o mouse. Eu também notei que o Spotify continua tocando como se tudo estivesse bem e dandy.
Parece que esse bug foi causado pelo driver Nouveau usado para minha placa GeForce GT 710. Desde que eu instalei os drivers proprietários este bug parou de aparecer. Acho que mergulhar no link pode ser uma alternativa, mas por enquanto estou feliz por não precisar reinicie o computador a cada 30-60 minutos.
