Monitor externo não encontrado

Estou com dificuldades tentando fazer com que o Ubuntu reconheça o monitor externo conectado ao meu laptop.

Ambiente

• Dell 7567
• Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti
• Monitor Dell P2414H via DVI-para-HDMI
• Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS de 64 bits

Drivers de gráficos testados

• 375.66 (o padrão é recomendado)

nvidia-settings

Executando nvidia-settings retornos:

** Message: PRIME: No offloading required. Abort
** Message: PRIME: is it supported? no

ERROR: nvidia-settings could not find the registry key file.
This file should have been installed along with this driver at
/usr/share/nvidia/nvidia-application-profiles-key-documentation.

The application profiles will continue to work, but values cannot be
prepopulated or validated, and will not be listed in the help text.

Para responder a minha própria pergunta, existem duas opções:

1. Manualmente assine os drivers da Nvidia
2. Ou, desativar inicialização segura
