Eu uso o Gnome com o Ubuntu 17.04, mas não consigo usar o gdm3. Com meus gráficos nus Optimus e Prime Sync, a sessão de desktop não inicia. É um bug onde o gdm3 erroneamente tenta iniciar o Wayland. Então estou usando lightdm. Tudo é ótimo, mas minhas telas não entram no modo de economia de energia. Eu acho que o gnome requer gdm3 para que isso funcione.
Eu instalei o light-locker. Mas não consigo salvar configurações. Se eu corro light-locker-settings em um shell:
