wifi não está funcionando no ubuntu 16.04, dell laptop, roteador TP-link

Parei a atualização de software regular e abri o dia seguinte para continuar e o wifi não estava funcionando, então eu pesquisei por solução e tentei de tudo, mas não consegui resolvê-lo. Não sei se estraguei tudo sem conhecimento claro. Eu preciso de ajuda.
