Não é possível usar o Bluetooth no Ubuntu 14.04 64bit

Question

Recentemente, tive a necessidade de fazer uma reinstalação limpa da minha máquina e, na maioria das vezes, as coisas estão funcionando bem. No entanto, ao tentar conectar meu fone de ouvido BT (Noga NG-55BT, fone de ouvido BT genérico), não consigo receber nenhum áudio enviado para o dispositivo. Ele registra bem e detecta a máquina, mas isso é o máximo possível.

Eu examinei problemas semelhantes neste e em outros sites que tentaram todo tipo de coisas e sem sorte.
