Eu fiquei abaixo do erro ao executar o comando sudo apt-get update , encontrei perguntas semelhantes, mas elas não me ajudam. Como corrijo esse problema?

Eu não estou vendo nada como http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/trusty/Release em /etc/apt/sources.list de onde veio.
Alguém pode sugerir uma maneira de resolver este erro, por favor?
Eu comparei sua sources.list com uma de uma confiável máquina nossa. Diferente do país de origem dos servidores, a grande diferença que vi foi que o seu .list ainda contém o arquivo cdrom. Lembro-me de remover isso para resolver algum tipo de problema, talvez fosse isso?
De qualquer forma, é fácil testar. Abra "software e atualizações" e desmarque a última caixa. Quando você clicar em Fechar, ele recarregará as fontes e informará se funcionou ou não.
