Ubuntu 16.04 - VSync não ativado, tela rasgando

Estou usando:

• GTX950M
• Gráficos integrados do chipset Intel da i7-6700
• Ubuntu 16.04

glxgear detecta cerca de 16.000 fps.

Não me lembro do link onde obtive essas configurações. Eu também tenho Intel i7-6700, mas tenho um pouco mais recente GTX970M. Depois de muita tentativa e erro, essas configurações funcionaram para mim (com as configurações antigas comentadas):
