Não é possível o SSH do Terminal para um servidor do CentOS 7, mas pode acessar via Bitvise

Eu criei um servidor do CentOS 7 na nuvem (Digital Ocean). Eu tentei acessá-lo via terminal usando o comando ssh.

ssh [email protected]

Mas nada acontece. Está apenas esperando, sem erro ou resposta. Então eu tentei com as mesmas credenciais usando o cliente Bitvise ssh (instalado e rodando via wine).

Host           : ip.ad.dr.es
Port           : 22
Username       : root
Initial Method : password
Password       : root_account_password

Ele se conecta com sucesso ao servidor e abre o console do Terminal e a janela do SFTP.

Estou usando o Ubuntu 16.10. Eu pensei que algo poderia estar bloqueando minha conexão ssh de saída do terminal. Apenas para confirmar isso, eu tentei acessar um servidor Ubuntu (Digital Ocean cloud) por ssh do terminal.

Mesmo comando

ssh [email protected]

Ele instantaneamente pede a senha para [email protected] , que então me dá acesso à máquina ubuntu através do meu terminal ssh.

Para verificar se isso ocorre apenas para o servidor CentOS na nuvem, conectei-me a uma máquina do CentOS em execução em nossa rede local com o mesmo comando. Ele pede a senha que me dá acesso ssh.

Eu ainda não consigo entender por que não posso usar o servidor em nuvem via ssh do terminal, mas posso acessá-lo no Bitvise. Se a porta ssh estiver bloqueada no servidor CentOS, ela não deve ter acessado minha conexão do Bitvise. BTW, eu sou (Ubuntu 16.10) não está atrás de qualquer firewall corporativo.
