Reconhecido e ativado o touchpad Elantech não funciona

O touchpad reconhecido e habilitado não funciona em um laptop Toshiba L55D-C5269. Uma pesquisa gera muitas soluções diferentes para os touchpads da Elan, mas nenhuma delas parece estar funcionando.

Algumas das coisas que experimentei:

- Arquivos xorg conf falsos de várias maneiras

-Instalou o Libinput e desinstalou o Synaptics

BIOS restaurado

Algumas outras pessoas resolveram o problema atualizando o kernel, mas o meu estava atualizado de qualquer maneira ...

Sou bastante novo no Linux, por isso espero que tenha perdido um detalhe simples e pequeno e que haja uma solução fácil.

Alguns notebooks da Acer, como o Spin 5, possuem um bloqueio de touchpad que é acessado pressionando FN + F7 (ou apenas F7, dependendo da configuração do BIOS).

O touchpad ELAN e a tela sensível ao toque do Acer Spin 5 funcionarão no Xorg para o Fedora 28 com o arquivo NO xorg.conf, desde que o bloqueio esteja DESABILITADO. A tela sensível ao toque funcionará mesmo se o bloqueio estiver desativado.

O mesmo com o meu Toshiba: reconhecido e habilitado touchpad não funciona no Ubuntu 16.04!

Eu tenho um Toshiba SATELLITE L50-C. Nenhuma das sugestões googled funcionou para mim! Como eu também tenho janelas originais instaladas, se eu iniciar as janelas, o touchpad funciona. Ele também estava trabalhando antes no Ubuntu 16.04 ... Apenas parou para trabalhar de repente.

ubuntu 16.04 com o XFCE versão do kernel: 4.4.0-62-generic

este não é um problema do Ubuntu.

Eu resolvi assim:

  • reinicialize o laptop, (F2) para entrar no BIOS.
  • pressionado FN + F5. O touchpad começa a funcionar (você pressiona novamente FN + F5, ele é desativado novamente).
  • Inicializando o Ubuntu e funciona como antes.
