Problemas Imac12.2 e Ubuntu 16.04 com a rede NetXtreme BCM57765 Gigabit Ethernet PCIeNetXtreme BCM57765

Eu tenho alguns iMacs com SSDs duplos, então eles são ambos Ubuntu 16.04 LTS e MacOSX. O problema, que é bem conhecido, é que há um bug no patch de segurança do MacOSX que desativou a placa BCM57765. Eu havia seguido todas as etapas sugeridas no MacOS X, mas ainda assim a placa NÃO está habilitada. Pior que isso é que não posso mais ativar o cartão no Ubuntu. Como o Ubuntu é meu sistema operacional principal nessas máquinas, eu apenas me preocupo com a placa ethernet para trabalhar com o Ubuntu. Eu só posso fazer o wi-fi funcionar nesta máquina agora.

Tenho certeza de que muitos usuários do Ubuntu estão enfrentando os mesmos problemas com o hardware do iMac, de acordo com uma pesquisa que fiz.

Espero que alguns de vocês possam dar algumas dicas sobre como ativar essa placa novamente. Estava trabalhando antes. Eu tinha o cabo verificado, switch, etc. Ele funciona com outra máquina muito bem. São as atualizações ruins do MacOS X que desativaram essa placa. Também executei diagnósticos e não há absolutamente nenhum problema com esse cartão.
