O sistema reconhece minha porta USB 3.0 como porta USB 2.0

Eu tenho um laptop Thinkpad T520 com a dock station Lenovo 4338-35 que tem uma porta USB 3.0 (é azul, marcada com SS ). No entanto, meu Linux Mint 17.2 (baseado no Ubuntu 14.04) não o reconhece.

O dispositivo conectado a essa porta funciona normalmente, como em qualquer outra porta (USB 2.0).

Eu já vi outros resultados que as pessoas postaram que os dispositivos USB 3.0 devem aparecer com velocidade 5000M , mas eu tenho apenas 480M .
