Novo minecraft e sistema operacional. Só tem 3 aplicativos instalados pelo usuário.

Encontrou o problema. O que eu precisava fazer era mudar o driver que eu estava usando para o driver do X.org Nouveau. Para qualquer outra pessoa com esse problema, você pode alterar isso em "Drivers adicionais"

Para outros: Estou usando um Alienware M14x com a nVidia GeForce GTX 765M.
