Conexões Wifi não exibidas no menu (Ubuntu 12.04)

Não está recebendo a opção de selecionar ou até mesmo habilitar as conexões sem fio na guia de rede. Também tentei reiniciar o sistema algumas vezes e ainda não está funcionando.

A seguir, a saída ao executar o comando:

Apenas uma nota: Estava funcionando bem até ontem à noite, de repente parou de funcionar agora.

Eu estou tendo o Ubuntu Desktop 14.04 LTS. O kernel padrão eu acredito é 3.x. Eu tinha Intel 3165 placa wi-fi no meu laptop e eu também não estava recebendo quaisquer símbolos wi-fi para se conectar. De acordo com a Intel, (3165) foi suportado apenas no kernel 4.1+. Então eu tentei algumas das correções rápidas como mencionado aqui . Isso resolveu a questão temporariamente - eu vou ter wifi por algumas horas e então ele será desconectado. Mas finalmente eu atualizei meu kernel para 4.2.5 como mencionado nesse link. Isso corrigiu todos os meus problemas relacionados ao wifi. Experimente a solução que estou propondo e me avise.

O problema foi resolvido depois de ativar o wifi através da tecla fn + PrtScr . O seguinte comando sugeriu o problema:

Executando rfkill list all :

Referência: A opção "Enable Wireless" está desabilitada nas configurações de rede
