Criar ponto de acesso Wi-Fi no Lubuntu 15.04

Sou novo no SO e escolhi essa comunidade para encontrar alguma ajuda sobre meus problemas. Eu tenho o Lubuntu baseado na versão 15.04; Estou muito satisfeito, embora seja mais complicado do que o Windows, mas mais rápido e seguro. Agora eu quero alguma ajuda com a criação de um hotspot wifi no meu laptop usando a conexão de entrada de ethernet com fio. Eu li e assisti muitos tutoriais, mas nenhum deles me ajudou. O problema é que não consigo instalar o ap-hotspot no Terminal, pois ele diz "Não é possível localizar o ap-hotspot de pacote". Existe alguma outra maneira de fazer isso? Estou usando o laptop antigo Dell Inpiron B120 com 512 mb de RAM. Adaptador é Broadcom 4318 e todos os drivers e firmware estão instalados. Não sei se alguma informação adicional é necessária.

ap-hotspot está bastante desatualizado, pois o desenvolvedor parou de trabalhar nele já há algum tempo. Sugiro usar create_ap como alternativa. Para instalar, digite o seguinte no terminal.

git clone https://github.com/oblique/create_ap
cd create_ap 
make install

Obrigado por ajudar a todos, mas agora já encontrei a solução no Youtube. Eu usei no terminal esse comando: "kde5-nm-connection-editor" e abri o editor de conexão do KDE e assim consegui criar um novo hotspot Wi-Fi e ele funciona muito bem.

Eu tenho este script antigo que me ajudou a fazer um WiFi-Hotspot da minha conexão ethernet. Pode não funcionar, mas vale a pena tentar.

Existe uma boa solução aqui . O passo adicional que tive que fazer foi:

  • Conecte-se explicitamente à conexão Wi-Fi do hotspot Lubuntu a partir da própria máquina Lubuntu usando 'conectar à rede oculta'.

O SSID ficou visível no meu dispositivo Android imediatamente.

Vi que as regras do iptables foram criadas no Lubuntu pelo Network Manager automaticamente. Eu estava compartilhando uma conexão de internet usb via Wi-Fi hotspot. Eu não vejo uma necessidade para o campo 'endereço MAC clonado'.
