Estou tendo um problema de cintilação em um laptop Toshiba Satellite A305 com placa gráfica Radeon Mobility HD3450 e configuração de monitor externo.
Ubuntu 14.04 sem drivers ATI proprietários instalados.
A configuração de exibição dupla funciona sem problemas quando os dois monitores (internos e externos) estão ligados.
O problema de cintilação é acionado somente quando eu fecho a tampa do laptop e apenas o monitor externo está ligado. É perceptível quando eu movo o mouse ou digito algo no teclado.

Normalmente eu uso o sistema principalmente com o monitor externo, o que é impossível agora por causa do problema de cintilação. Eu gostaria de manter o modo de exibição dupla funcionando sem problemas como está agora, mas também para corrigir o problema quando apenas o monitor externo estiver ligado.
Alguém conhece uma solução para esse problema?
