Ubuntu fica preto após a atualização (usando o VirtualBox)

Question

Estou executando o Ubuntu 14.04 no Oracle VirtualBox 4.3. Eu vi uma notificação para atualizar algum pacote que eu não conseguia lembrar, para ser honesto. Após o processo de atualização, fui solicitado a reiniciar, então tudo ficou preto. Eu tentei o modo de recuperação, mas nada mudou. Eu pesquisei algumas soluções em perguntar ao Ubuntu também, mas não consegui consertá-lo.

Eu resolvi o problema. É a atualização do driver da Nvidia. apenas os desinstalou.
