Eu estava executando uma atualização do apt-get em uma caixa LTS do Ubuntu 12.04.5 que não tinha sido atualizada em pouco tempo e a atualização falhou devido a "Não há espaço disponível no dispositivo". Depois de algum tempo eu trabalhei espaço significava inodes e eu libertei alguns, mas infelizmente as coisas foram deixadas algo torto. Eu tentei instalar manualmente as versões antigas dos pacotes mencionados usando o dpkg -i, mas isso não ajuda.
Eu tentei o apt-get upgrade e o apt-get -f install sem sucesso. Os resultados estão abaixo. Alguma idéia de como consertar as coisas?
FIXO:
Instalando as versões anteriores novamente manualmente via dpkg -i e então o apt-get -f install fez o truque. Não sei por que isso não funcionou na primeira vez. Os pacotes em questão estão listados abaixo, mas eles provavelmente variarão.

Se tudo correr bem:
3. apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
... pode estar no lugar.

sugere que alguns dos pacotes instalados eram de uma versão mais recente. Instalar a versão antiga deste pacote e pacotes relacionados deve deixar apt continuar.
