Problemas com o driver wireless do Lubuntu (Lubuntu 12.04, Realtek RTL8190)

Eu instalei recentemente o Lubuntu em um PC de amigos, mas não consigo fazer o wireless funcionar. Não há opção para procurar redes e adicionar uma manualmente não faz nada.

Eu encontrei o mesmo problema com Lubuntu 32Bit. O que fiz foi anexar um cabo ethernet e executar sudo apt-get update e sudo apt-get install -f .

Ao executar ifconfig wlan0 up , você ativará o Wi-Fi e, em seguida, testará com iwlist wlan0 scan para ver se reconhece alguma rede; teste com Ethernet e WiFi. Quando estiver ciente de qual rede sem fio você deseja se conectar, execute iwconfig wlan0 essid NETWORK_ID key s:WIRELESS_KEY : substitua NETWORK_ID pelo nome (essid) de nework e WIRELESS_KEY pela senha da rede.

Não posso adicionar minha fonte enquanto procurava esse problema. Por favor, deixe-me saber se isso ajuda!
