Para reinstalar o Grub:
Tentei o abaixo primeiro.
Para adicionar o reparo de inicialização ao repositório
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y boot-repair
Após a conclusão da instalação, execute o reparo de inicialização no terminal digitando o seguinte comando ou selecione-o pelo sistema → Administração → Reparo de inicialização.

Eu apenas tentei o acima, mas ele ainda voltou para o resgate imediato. Eu inicializei a máquina com o CD ao vivo e usei o terminal para desmontar a unidade e depois remontá-la, tentei reinstalar o Grub 2. Sem alteração.
Tudo começou quando eu fiz a atualização diária do Ubuntu. Ele me pediu para reiniciar e foi para resgatar. Meu principal problema é que não há outro sistema operacional no laptop. Eu tentei instalar mint sobre ele, mas ele falhou, tentei uma instalação de reparo, falhou. Nesse ponto, estou trabalhando por pelo menos 24 horas seguidas. Estou farto disso.
Qualquer sugestão será apreciada com gratidão.
