Ubuntu (13.10) agora inicializa no terminal

Question

Ok, isso vai ser longo e estranho ...

Meu sistema é um ultrabook Dell XPS 13 (apenas rodando o 13.10, não o sistema Sputnik)

Houve uma atualização ontem que exigiu uma reinicialização, então desliguei minha máquina no momento e a iniciei esta manhã e ela me jogou no terminal

Neste ponto, o meu sistema também não tem interfaces de rede (wifi)

Eu tentei:

1. ctrl-alt-F7, isso não me deu nada
2. executando startx do cli, isso me deu um desktop, mas não menus, mouse, etc.
3. executando unity do cli, isso me deu um erro sobre não conseguir encontrar um display
4. executando startx then unity , isso me deu menus, mas ainda sem mouse ou wifi
5. lspci mostra que os dispositivos estão no sistema, mas "não reivindicados"
6. uname -r mostra o kernel 3.13.0, não é 13.10 usando 3.11?
7. mudando o grub para me permitir ver o menu e depois usar o menu de recuperação para inicializar com a rede ativada - isso começou a me pegar em algum lugar

Agora, se eu inicializar pelo modo de recuperação, recebo a tela de login da unidade, mas não consigo fazer login (a tela fica preta e o laptop trava), mas agora se eu ctrl-alt-f1 conseguir acesso wifi. / p>

De mais algumas googling eu encontrei alguém sugerindo: sudo apt-get install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop

E foi aí que as coisas começaram a ficar estranhas ...

O comando acima listou algumas dependências não satisfeitas e não continuaria, mas eu li que a aptidão seria melhor para classificá-las. Então eu tentei sudo aptitude reinstall ubuntu-desktop e, aparentemente, eu tenho uma carga de pacotes da Trusty.

O comando aptitude mostrou-me várias maneiras de resolver as dependências e eu aceitei o que significava reverter os pacotes confiáveis, mas isso não ajudou.

Então agora eu não sei o que está acontecendo. Alguma idéia do que aconteceu e como eu recebo meu sistema de volta?

Abra o console virtual (ctrl + alt + F1) e execute os comandos abaixo,

sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get install --reinstall ubuntu-desktop
sudo apt-get install unity

Em seguida, reinicie o seu PC.

sudo apt-get remove --purge ubuntu-desktop  #this flush your cache/sources list
sudo apt-get remove --purge unity

e finalmente

sudo apt-get install -y ubuntu-desktop
