Não é possível configurar a tela dupla em um Lenovo W530 com o otimus em 14.04

2

Eu consegui instalar os drivers nvidia-331-updates no meu Lenovo W530, e se eu iniciar o nvidia-settings, ele diz:

** Message: PRIME: Requires offloading
** Message: PRIME: is it supported? yes

O que é ótimo. Além disso, minha configuração xrandr parece bem:

O conteúdo do xorg.conf é como deveria ser:

# cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Section "ServerLayout"
    Identifier "layout"
    Screen 0 "nvidia"
    Inactive "intel"
EndSection

Section "Device"
    Identifier "intel"
    Driver "modesetting"
    BusID "PCI:0@0:2:0"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "intel"
    Device "intel"
EndSection

Section "Device"
    Identifier "nvidia"
    Driver "nvidia"
    BusID "PCI:1@0:0:0"
    Option "ConstrainCursor" "off"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "nvidia"
    Device "nvidia"
    Option "AllowEmptyInitialConfiguration" "on"
EndSection

Mas quando eu executo o nvidia-settings, ele simplesmente clona a tela e não me permite modificar a configuração. Eu quero estender a tela secundária quando ela estiver conectada à porta de exibição.

EDITAR :

Quando eu executo o seguinte comando:

# xrandr --output LVDS-1-0 --auto --output DP-0 --mode 1680x1050 --right-of LVDS-1-0 --verbose

diz:

crtc 0: 1680x1050 60.0 +1920+0 "DP-0"
crtc 4: 1920x1080 60.0 +0+0 "LVDS-1-0"

e o seguinte é acrescentado ao Xorg.0.log:

parece que está a definir o ecrã DP-0 (externo) para um ecrã muito grande, com a mesma origem (assim clonado)

Você deve ser capaz de fazer isso através de nvidia-settings , mas se não, tente este xorg.conf :

Section "ServerLayout"
    Identifier "layout"
    Screen 0 "nvidia" 0 0
    Inactive "intel"
    Option "Xinerama" "0"
EndSection

Section "Device"
    Identifier "intel"
    Driver "modesetting"
    BusID "PCI:0@0:2:0"
EndSection

Section "Device"
    Identifier "nvidia"
    Driver "nvidia"
    BusID "PCI:1@0:0:0"
    Option "ConstrainCursor" "off"
    Option "metamodes" "DP-0: 1680x1050, LVDS-1-0: 1920x1080"
    Option "TwinViewOrientation" "RightOf"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "nvidia"
    Device "nvidia"
    Option "AllowEmptyInitialConfiguration" "on"
EndSection

Como alternativa, tente este comando:

xrandr --output DP-0 --mode 1680x1050 --output LVDS-1-0 --mode 1920x1080 --right-of DP-0
