Conky é louco!

Acabei de instalar o conky no meu Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, mas ele aparece ... no terminal (e somente nele):

$ conky

Eu tentei outros arquivos conkyrc para personalizá-lo, mas eu consigo algo assim:

Estranho, tente este arquivo conkyrc. Este aqui funciona para mim. Isso funciona para você também? Em caso afirmativo, talvez você possa tentar adaptá-lo às suas próprias necessidades.

Você pode removê-lo e todos os arquivos de configuração, digitando este comando:

sudo apt-get --purge remove package name

e instale de volta usando este comando

sudo apt-get install conky-all

Depois disso, corra atrás do seu conky.
