Não é possível localizar o pacote default-jdk no Ubuntu 16.10 [closed]

Estou tentando instalar o Java no meu sistema.

quando eu corro sudo apt-get install default-jdk

Eu obtenho

E: Unable to locate package default-jdk

e antes disso eu usei sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

e obtivemos:

Eu também tentei consertar os repositórios do PPA, mas não sei exatamente se estou na direção certa com isso.

Aconteceu comigo antes, embora minha versão tenha sido suportada (às vezes o oracle repo atualiza o Java e o ppa tenta baixar o instalador do link antigo).

Ubuntu 16.10 O Yakkety Yak não é mais suportado pela Canonical (e, portanto, pelo Launchpad e este PPA). O PPA suporta o Ubuntu 17.10, 17.04, 16.04, 14.04 e 12.04.

Embora, se você precisar instalar o Java no Ubuntu, prefiro instalar diretamente o arquivo .tar.gz de aqui , siga as instruções para a instalação, você só precisa descompactar o arquivo .tar.gz e atualizar as alternativas para Java como este link explique.
