Na minha máquina, o fcitx foi auto-programado por im-config em (X) Ubuntu 16.04 veja / usr / share / im-config / Mesmo quando você desinstalou todos os pacotes fcitx, o im-config ainda invocaria o fcitx. Portanto, eu recomendo que você também verifique se você tem o im-config instalado e como ele está configurado . (No meu caso, o i-config iniciou automaticamente um processo fcitx que consumiu toda a memória e tornou minha máquina inutilizável).

Por que isso é relevante?

Meu palpite é que a im-config é lançada incorretamente (ou anteriormente configurada incorretamente para ser iniciada) seu próprio binário fcitx que pode interferir no conjunto de ferramentas fcitx empacotado real. Isso significa que, embora você suspeite que a execução do fcitx seja a que veio com o gerenciador de pacotes, na realidade, outra versão potencialmente antiga do fcitx é executada e fica com problemas no sistema. Como consequência, as recomendações acima para reinstalar o fcitx não alterariam / melhorariam nada.

Tente rm -rf ~/.config/fcitx e reinicie o Ubuntu, isso me corrigiu pelo menos, no xubuntu 16.04

Abra o Suporte ao Idioma , selecione fcitx como o "sistema de método de entrada do teclado" e relogine.
