Não é possível conectar-se à Internet usando a conexão com fio, mesmo quando está conectado

Eu limpei recentemente o Ubuntu instalado sem inicialização dupla, então tudo foi apagado, mas agora não consigo me conectar à Internet, mesmo usando conexão com fio. Em "Informações de conexão", diz que é "Conexões de rede ativas", mas não consigo ficar on-line. Aqui estão os resultados de alguns comandos que encontrei online:

Observe que sua ethernet tem um endereço IP, o muito incomum 10.42.0.1. Isso sugere que a ethernet está configurada para ser compartilhada com outro computador na rede; em vez disso, ele deve ser configurado para solicitar e receber um endereço IP do roteador, switch ou outro ponto de acesso.

Clique no ícone do Network Manager, selecione 'Edit Connections,' selecione a conexão ethernet e selecione 'Edit.' Selecione as configurações de IPv4 e verifique se está definido como 'Automático (DHCP)'.

Reinicie o Network Manager no terminal:

sudo service network-manager restart
