Estou executando o Ubuntu 12.04 (32 bits). De repente, após uma reinicialização, meu laptop não detectou o HDD. Após alguns reinícios, não foi possível detectar o disco rígido. Então eu mudo o modo sata para IDE de AHCI no BIOS. Em seguida, detecta novamente o HDD. E agora o desempenho do HDD é muito lento. Eu corro um pequeno teste no utilitário de disco. Não mostra nenhum erro ou aviso.
