Eu sou muito sem noção quando se trata de Linux, então aqui vai.
Quando eu inicio o minecraft (apenas abrindo o arquivo .jar) recebo a seguinte saída no launcher:

Depois de uma pesquisa na Internet, vi que muitas pessoas tiveram esse problema e o resolveram, mas nenhuma das soluções parece funcionar:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install oracle-java7-installer
ou
sudo apt-get install --reinstall ca-certificates-java
Eu não acho que meu firewall esteja habilitado, embora eu não saiba como verificar isso.
Eu tentei o Openjdk 7 e 11 e o Oracle Java 8 Runtime
Estou executando o Ubuntu 18.04 com o KDE através do crouton (em um chromebook).
Estou ciente de que fazer downgrade para uma versão mais antiga do Ubuntu pode funcionar, mas eu gostaria de evitar isso, se possível.
