Eu tenho um Dell XPS 15, com uma GPU Intel integrada e uma Nvidia discreta. Eu uso o programa Nvidia X Server Settings para definir o meu sistema para usar o Intel, por razões de economia de energia. Independentemente disso, o driver nouveau é carregado e, quando esse é o caso, na maioria das vezes quando tento suspender, a suspensão falha e acabo na tela de bloqueio (e consigo desbloquear normalmente). Uma vez em uma lua azul, porém, funciona.
Agora eu ficaria feliz com uma solução que faz com que os drivers nouveau funcionem com o suspend, mas também ficaria bem em não carregá-los, já que eu uso a GPU da Intel de qualquer maneira.
Estou executando o 18.04 e o kernel 4.15.0-20.

Se você usar o Nvidia X Server Settings para alternar para os drivers nvidia proprietários, as alterações acima refletirão isso e a suspensão funcionará bem. (Na verdade isso não é verdade, mas quebra de uma forma diferente e menos drástica, e eu não me importo.)

O mesmo /var/log/syslog inclui reclamações semelhantes com nouveau 0000:01:00.0: timeout e tudo isso em cada inicialização. Nas raras ocasiões em que a suspensão é bem-sucedida, o log está perdendo toda essa porcaria sobre o nouveau.
Quaisquer sugestões de como corrigir o problema (ótimo) ou desativar o nouveau (bom)? Por que os arquivos da lista negra /etc/modprobe.d/ não impedem o carregamento de todo o driver? Como eu iria manualmente descarregar? (Eu tentei modprobe -r para nenhum grande sucesso.)
