Nova instalação de 17.10 problemas de DNS inconsistentes [duplicados]

Atualização:

Houve um problema com o webup8, mas maior do que isso é o fato de que, inconsistentemente, tem problemas com o DNS O navegador também não pode encontrar sites, se eu atualizar cargas como normal.

Ao fazer o apt, fica em [Working] 0% por 30s antes de começar.

Alguma idéia?

Nova instalação de 17.10 em um iMac

O navegador está funcionando bem com o Wi-Fi, mas não pode ser atualizado com o apt-get há 2 dias.

Já tentou um espelho diferente mesmo problema

O webupd8 não está ativo desde o final de 2017, portanto, os repositórios, como a maioria deles ou de todos, estão inativos e podem causar problemas, conforme você encontrou
