HELP! Precisa de ajuda com wifi, ele continua desconectando de uma maneira estranha

Estou tendo problemas com meu WiFi no Ubuntu. Após 4-6 minutos eu não consigo acessar a internet, embora isso mostre que ainda estou conectado. Eu não tenho problemas com o WiFi em qualquer outro dispositivo em casa ou quando eu uso o windows. Eu tenho tentado usar o Ubuntu como meu sistema operacional principal, mas este problema de Wi-Fi está tornando-o inutilizável e um incômodo extremo.

Como vemos, há dois drivers possivelmente conflitantes carregados para o ASUS wireless; vamos tentar colocar um na lista negra para ver se a estabilidade melhora:

sudo -i
echo "blacklist rtl8192cu" >>  /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
exit 

Sugiro também uma alteração no Network Manager para desativar a economia de energia:

sudo sed -i 's/3/2/' /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/*

Em seguida, reinicie o Network Manager:

sudo service network-manager restart  

Existe alguma melhoria?

EDIT : Por questões de privacidade, as configurações padrão do gerenciador de rede do Ubuntu 17.04 (e posterior) fazem com que o endereço MAC do dispositivo USB Wifi mude constantemente. Para corrigir isso, basta editar um arquivo de configuração e reiniciar o serviço gerenciador de rede.

Abra um terminal e execute:

sudo nano /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf

Na parte inferior deste arquivo, copie e cole o seguinte:

wifi.scan-rand-mac-address=no

Revise cuidadosamente, salve e feche o editor de texto e execute:

sudo service network-manager restart
