Alguns dias atrás eu comprei uma nova série Dell Inspiron 15 3567, com o Ubuntu pré-carregado (não queria pagar pedágio do Micros @ ft);)
O WiFi está funcionando, mas quando um ponto de acesso é iniciado para compartilhar a conexão com fio (na verdade, não é um modem da Huawei), o seguinte erro é produzido:

Eu verifiquei e o firmware parece estar carregando corretamente. *ATUALIZAR O firmware parece ser o problema. Não sei como resolver isso.

Não é a solução
Para criar uma rede sem fio à qual outros computadores possam se conectar, você precisa de um mínimo de 2 adaptadores sem fio, você pode adquirir um outro comprando um dongle usb, eles são geralmente bem baratos, cerca de 7 dólares. Feito isso, você pode seguir este tutorial:
