Como se livrar de ffmpeg pts não tem erro de valor

Estou tentando converter um arquivo AVI em um arquivo MP4. O fluxo de vídeo é um XVID, enquanto o fluxo de áudio é MP3.

O problema é que o arquivo MP4 resultante não pode ser reproduzido no QuickTime Player em um Mac. Ele joga no VLC. Embora não seja um problema, gostaria de saber como resolver esses problemas.

Primeiro, um histórico sobre por que esse erro existe. AVI não suporta vídeo de taxa de quadros variável. Então, em algum lugar no início do arquivo, a taxa de quadros é registrada. O mp4 suporta taxa de quadros variável, portanto, é necessário que a duração de cada quadro seja conhecida. No ffmpeg, a geração de pts para vídeo com taxa fixa de quadros é normalmente tratada pelo decodificador. mas usando -codec copy , você está ignorando o decodificador.

A solução está especificando -fflags +genpts (deve ser antes que o arquivo de entrada seja especificado com -i ).

Descobri que codificar a taxa de quadros resolveu esse problema:

ffmpeg -r 25 -i test.h264 -codec copy testout25.mp4

(Eu ainda recebi o aviso "Os registros de data e hora não foram definidos em um pacote no fluxo 0", mas o arquivo resultante foi procurado no Quicktime Player em um Mac.)
