Eu comprei um novo Alienware e eles não oferecem suporte para o Windows Update (por que eles deveriam, na verdade). Eu vou e tento executar a atualização do IE 10 da seguinte forma:

Eu tive exatamente o mesmo erro. 6 horas depois eu finalmente posso instalar o IE 10. Acontece que existem alguns pacotes corrompidos baixados e o IE 10 não pode instalar. O pkgmgr.exe é um utilitário para gerenciar esses pacotes.

Isso é o que você precisa fazer. (não documentado em qualquer lugar, é claro) Execute uma janela DOS COMMAND (CMD) como administrador e digite os seguintes comandos:

Segui as instruções de Jose Ortiz e me livrei com êxito do código de falha de atualização do IE10 9c59, no entanto, uma correção para as instruções de Jose, não apenas eu tive que pkgmgr / UP: nas versões inferiores do Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-Package-TopLevel ~ * em C: \ Windows \ servicing \ Packages, mas também versões superiores 10 também. então a atualização do IE10 se torna bem sucedida

Após ler as respostas muito úteis do @jose-ortiz e os comentários, fiz o seguinte quando não consegui atualizar do IE 10 para o 11 em uma máquina com Windows 7 x64 em que estava trabalhando. Acho que essas etapas também podem ajudar outra pessoa, independentemente de estarem tentando atualizar para o IE10 ou IE11, então estou postando-as:

Eu passei mais de um dia tentando resolver o erro do Code 9C59 que recebi enquanto tentava atualizar o IE 9 para 10 em um sistema Windows 7. A postagem de Jose Ortiz finalmente me permitiu corrigir o problema com o comando pkgmgr . Para o laptop no qual encontrei o problema, os seguintes comandos corrigiram o problema, permitindo que eu concluísse a atualização com êxito:

Eu tentei muitas outras sugestões que encontrei em outro lugar antes de finalmente poder corrigir o problema com a solução que encontrei aqui. Eu tive o mesmo erro. Eu estava executando o IE8 (nova instalação), tentei atualizar e falhou. Eu tentei atualizar para o IE 9 (com sucesso). Em seguida, tentou atualizar para o IE11 mesmo erro.

Examinando o arquivo de log c: \ Windows \ IE11_main.log, encontrei ... Código de saída de configuração: 0x00009C59 (40025) - Falha na instalação da cabina neutra.

A execução de cada um dos pré-requisitos para o IE11 trabalhados individualmente para mim são 6 deles e levei cerca de 10 minutos ..... link
