O sysvconfig desapareceu no Ubuntu 9.10?

Question

Acabei de instalar o Ubuntu Server 9.10 e não tenho sysvconfig , se eu apt-get install sysvconfig , ele me diz que o sysvconfig não tem candidato de instalação.

O sysvconfig foi removido do Ubuntu 9.10? Se sim, que alternativa posso usar? Se não, como faço para instalá-lo?

A outra resposta é usar sysvconfig como você deseja. Linux é feito para permitir que você use as ferramentas que você quer usar; Se a ferramenta que você deseja não estiver imediatamente disponível, há outras maneiras de fazer isso acontecer.

Como não está disponível nos repositórios do Ubuntu, você precisa pegar o pacote fonte (aqui, do último Ubuntu release (desenvolto), ou aqui, do último lançamento do Debian (Lenny)) e construa seu próprio pacote . (Você também pode compilar e instalar sem ter seu próprio .deb.)

Mas tome cuidado; o pacote foi removido da Sid devido a conflitos com sysvinit-utils . Isso não significa que a versão anterior também esteja em conflito, mas é algo que deve ser observado.
