Desativar atalho único no quantum do firefox

Question

É possível desativar um único atalho de teclado no quantum do firefox? Eu gostaria muito de desabilitar ctrl-n (ou pelo menos ser capaz de capturar e event.preventDefault() ) no firefox 57. As soluções anteriores usam complementos que não suportam o quantum do firefox.

A substituição de keybinds existentes não é suportada no Firefox Quantum (ainda).

If a key combination is already used by the browser (for example, "Ctrl+Shift+R"), or by an existing add-on, then you can't override it. You will be allowed to define it, but your event handler will not be called when the user enters it.
