Não é possível instalar o mysql-server / client no ubuntu 16

Question

Estou tendo um problema com a instalação do mysql que não consigo resolver sozinho. Primeiro eu tentei remover e limpar arquivos antigos com este comando

sudo apt-get remove --purge mysql

Tentei também

sudo apt-get remove --purge mysql*

e

sudo apt-get remove --purge mariadb*

Todos os 3 comandos retornam a mesma saída ...

Então eu corro o que me é sugerido apt-get -f install e eu tenho

A mesma saída que recebo quando executo apt upgrade -f . Esta é a saída de systemctl status mysql.service -l

Outra coisa que eu tentei foi remover mysql-server e depois instalá-lo novamente, mesmo erro.

Alguém pode ajudar com esse problema? Estou sem ideias como posso corrigi-lo.

Atualizar saída de lsb_release -a

Update2: saída de sudo apt install mysql-server mysql-client

$ sudo apt install mysql-server mysql-client

Answer 1

Executamos os seguintes comandos para resolver o problema acima:

1. Obtenha a lista de pacotes do MySQL instalados no sistema executando o comando sudo dpkg -l | grep mysql
2. Remova os pacotes mostrados acima executando o comando sudo apt-get --purge autoremove <packages from the step 1>
3. Excluir /var/lib/mysql
4. Tente instalar o mysql novamente. Deve resolver o seu problema.

Eu não tenho ideia do porquê, eu tentei usar esses comandos por uma hora, até que eu acabei de fazer

export TERM=xterm

e depois funcionou com o apt install.
