O repositório xenial maas / stable / ubuntu não possui um arquivo Release

Quando executo sudo apt update no meu Ubunutu 16.04 LTS Server com o MAAS instalado, recebo a seguinte mensagem de erro:

Isso é algo que eu deveria ignorar ou tentar corrigir?

Acontece que não há uma versão estável do MAAS para o Xenial, o que significa que eu preciso estar no repositório ppa:maas/next em vez de ppa:maas/stable . A questão surgiu depois de percorrer o Manual de primeiros passos do MAAS que queria que eu solicitasse o repositório ppa:maas/stable . Depois de removê-lo com

sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:maas/stable

A atualização foi feita sem erros.
