Quais são todos esses processos estranhos do firefox? [duplicado]

Acabei de atualizar para o Firefox 57 no Ubuntu e agora, quando executo ps -ef|grep firefox , recebo muitas mensagens de processo estranhas e estou pensando se isso é normal.

Parece que você está usando suporte multiprocessado no Firefox. Esse recurso é chamado Eletrólise (também conhecido como e10s) e deve melhorar a segurança (sandboxing) e o desempenho. Mais detalhes podem ser encontrados no wiki da Mozilla: link
