O Visual Studio 2010 falha após a carga da solução

Instalei recentemente o Visual Studio 2010 Professional na minha máquina com Windows 7. Quando fiz isso, tive alguns problemas com o SQL Server Express 2008R2, então desinstalei a versão instalada com o VS2010 e instalei-a separadamente. No entanto, depois de fazer isso (o que demorou um pouco - não percebi como é difícil remover completamente o SQL Server de uma máquina), ativei minha solução (que é aberta em outros computadores - todos executando o Windows XP e nunca teve um problema com o SQL Server Express) e, quando a solução é aberta, o Visual Studio falha.

Eu verifiquei os logs de eventos, mas não entendi o que posso fazer para corrigir o problema. Eu tentei reinstalar / reparar o Visual Studio, mas isso não pareceu fazer nada. Qualquer ajuda para resolver isso seria apreciada.

Parece que o arquivo da solução foi corrompido. Revirei meu arquivo de solução, fiz as alterações que fiz anteriormente e tudo está bem desde então.
